Essay on the life of moses

I don't think we can fully appreciate the greatness of this man without coming to appreciate how much he gave up and what it meant for him to model such selfless dedication.

Moses is thought to be a man after God's own heart. This is very true in many ways. Moses did many good things for God's people, but as with many great people triumphs did not come without failure and fear. We can learn a lot from this man's life. Even though Moses doubted, he followed God and it came out to benefit a whole nation of people. We should all try to have the kind of faith that Moses possessed. Moses was never the most holy of people or the greatest follower of God there ever was, but God used him for the good of God's kingdom. The same way God can use us, even when we fall short of what we should be.

Herbert Lockyer says " The story of his rescue from the water by Pharaoh's daughter, of her adoption of him as her own son and his royal upbringing has charmed our hearts from the earliest years”. This is so true for many of us. Moses has the ultimate adoption story. He was brought from what seems certain death into splendor that most people have never seen. This is a symbol that God was watching over and protecting Moses from the very beginning. God had a plan for this man to lead his people into the Promised Land.
